IMG_8645Welcome Welcome!

This weekend Mockingjay Part 2, the big finale, came out in theaters. One of the number one things you should know about me is that The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins are my most favorite books. I love reading and have very few favorite series that I will go down defending. But these made the cut! I read them when I found out they were going to be a movie because I was interested and I live by the virtue that the books are usually better than the movie (99% of the time). And I LOVED these books. I mean I loved them immensely. My mom read it too and she even loved them. My sister is also a huge fan! So when the movies came out, I was even more impressed with how spot on the casting, the setting, and the script was to the book! (Not to mention the first movie was filmed not that far away from me). And now sadly, but rightfully so, the final installment for the movies came out this past Friday, November 20th. I went to see it on Sunday so I planned my Saturday around having a movie marathon of the first three movies.

BUT

Coincidentally, my sister decided to go to her school’s Homecoming Dance, that just so happened to be themed….you guessed it… Capitol Panem! (Which is the main part of the country in the Hunger Games, where they dress to the extreme, crazy, and extravagantly) So of course I had to partake in dressing her up and shopping for an outfit! She’s not the girliest of girls so this is a big deal for her to dress up like this! And she looked oh so gorgeous! (I just love my little sister). She let me do her makeup and hair too!

She had such a good time! I’m so proud of her. So the next day, we went to go see the movie. I was nervous, excited, and a little bit sad! I knew it was going to be just as good as the other but I was scared it was going to fall through a little bit. I was excited because my favorites were back again and I couldn’t wait to see everything come together! And I was (and still am) a little sad that it’s over. The movies and books are done and I know that there is no more coming from it. It all ended correctly and amazingly but it is a little bittersweet. It’s amazing though so you should go see it (ONLY if you’ve watched the first three though!).
