Happy New Year everyone! I hope everybody is having a lovely start to 2016. I sure am! I’ve been chilling out, not stressing, and last night I finally got to see the new Star Wars (geeking out because it was AMAZING). 2015 was a pretty good year for me.

I went to a bunch of great concerts with my best friend! We met Shawn Mendes, went to Taylor Swift’s 1989 show (where we both got brave  enough to wear red lipstick, channel our inner Taylor and Abby got mistake for Taylor Swift countless times), and we also got EXTREMELY CLOSE AND AMAZING seats to see one of our favorite (maybe our most favorite) band 5 Seconds of Summer! (where I also touched Ashton Irwin’s hand, no biggie) I went to the beach with my best friend and we had so much fun! I also went on vacation in Florida, home away from home, with my family where I paddle boarded for the first time and it was so much fun! My sister went to her first homecoming dance and let me fix her up for it. The whole family, most recently, took a class on shooting arrows, something I’ve always subconsciously wanted to do!

I also started this blog this year! While it may not be exactly how or where I want it, that’s okay! I’m still learning and I’m so happy I took a leap of faith and adventure to start this! I’m still figuring it all out, but that’s okay with me. This blog is like my little baby that will grow and develop as I do.

I learned so much in 2015. I gained so much more knowledge and experience. I feel older and wiser. I learned again and again how no matter what, God has my back. I learned that family is what keeps me calm and holds me together. I learned how important friendship is and the balance that has to be there. I learned how truly grateful I am for my best friends and my family. I learned more about my best friends and family. But I really feel like 2015 was the year I really started to learn more about myself. I realized what some of my passions are, even if they had been there the whole time. I discovered I love old jazz music (20s, 30s, and 40s, stuff). I discovered my love for old classic movies (hello Audrey Hepburn and Gene Kelly). I learned more about what makes me tick and what keeps me calm. I even figured out my major, elementary education! I really just honed in on what makes me me and I’m still figuring it all out. But that’s totally fine with me! I hope I continue to do that in 2016.

My Goals for 2016:

  • Grow closer to God and further develop my walk with Him
  • Get more into blogging
  • Not to be as shy about the blog and promote it more
  • Develop a good skin routine and keep it up
  • Try new adventures (even if small and seemingly insignificant)
  • Develop healthier habits
  • Procrastinate less
  • Get back into reading books and make time for it
  • Keep learning and keep smiling
  • Drink more water

I never really make serious resolutions or hold myself to them. I don’t want to much pressure on myself because I probably do enough of that already! I just like to have a few goals to keep in mind to have an amazing year! Now I have this post that I can come back and check when I’m feeling down and out.

If you’re reading this, thank you! Please keep coming back and checking the blog out! And Ariana, if you are reading this later on during 2016 or years later, be proud of yourself, don’t stress, and don’t give up. You got this!

Love, Ariana
