21 Things At 21

By on January 17, 2017

Good morning everyone! Guess what?! Ya girl turns twenty-one today. Yup. I feel extremely old actually. It’s kind of a weird birthday. Still considered young but actually kind of an adult, an actual twenty-something! Anyways, last year I shared 20 Things I Learned By 20 and I really enjoyed doing that post! So, seeing as this year it’s a milestone, here is 21 Things at 21!

  1. Being alone is okay.
  2. Even if you are good at being alone, you can still get lonely. Which is okay too.
  3. Having standards is good.
  4. Strawberry cheesecake is the bomb dot com.
  5. Family is everything.
  6. You will have doubts about your future but pray about it and keep pushing.
  7. Life is coming faster and faster. It’s fun and exciting, but also kinda scary all in one.
  8. Pink is-and will always be- the best, most happy color ever.
  9. You probably won’t stop caring what others think by tomorrow. Just try to care less and less each day.
  10. Planner stickers make everything better.
  11. God has a plan, seek Him in everything you do.
  12. Making time for your old hobbies is important, so don’t forget about them.
  13. Soft blankets make the world go around.
  14. Hard work does (and will) pay off.
  15. Splurging on a Starbucks every once in awhile won’t break the bank.
  16. Sometimes a “me” day is necessary.
  17. Painting is very relaxing.
  18. It is very very VERY important to keep up with finances.
  19. You’re never too old to learn a new language.
  20. Disney is still the best form of happiness.
  21. Being 100% yourself is the best possible way to go through life.

xoxo Ariana

20 things I learned by 20!

By on January 17, 2016

FullSizeRender (1)Hello everyone! I wanted to just go ahead and say that my goal for this blog is to upload a post every Sunday. I desperately want to do more than that but right now, it’s just not possible. But still! These posts are going to be fun and I want to get better at planning them out and making them look nice. And what better day to start with this new schedule than today! (AKA my 20th birthday!) That’s right! As of today, I have been on this planet for twenty years, which is so strange to even think about, much less say it out loud. I’m having a nice relaxing day so far. It actually snowed this morning!! The first snow of the year was on my birthday haha! Also, my sister, Serena, made the BRILLIANT realization that this year I turn 20 and she turns 16. Together we are 2016. (Is that not so cool and clever?!?!)

So, for my birthday post, I thought it would be fun to list out twenty things I have learned over the past twenty years.

  1. Candles are always a good idea.
  2. You are never too old to be a kid again.
  3. People really don’t care what you do, and if they do, who cares.
  4. People will forget your in-class presentation as soon as its over. Don’t stress what the class will think.
  5. No matter how cliche it sounds, do what makes YOU happy.
  6. Disney is the source of all happiness.
  7. Sometimes friends grow apart but that’s okay. Always try to pop-in every once in awhile and say hello.
  8. No matter how scary, try to be open to new things, people, and places.
  9. It’s important to know what your boundaries are and its okay to say no sometimes.
  10. Old movies are just as good as new ones.
  11. Don’t be embarrassed to geek out about something you love.
  12. There may actually be such a thing as too many clothes but hypothetically, no, there is no such thing.
  13. If you reach the point of realizing you do have too many (see above), then give the ones you don’t want/need to your little sister, friends, or charity. There will always be more clothes.
  14. There’s nothing wrong with being a penny-pencher and not getting the thing. But is also okay to splurge and get the thing.
  15. Make time for your favorite hobbies (reading, playing guitar, scrap-booking, etc.)
  16. Take pictures. Don’t be embarrassed. Take photos to keep memories.
  17. Don’t be afraid to be a tourist and do touristy things.
  18. Eat fruit and drink water. But also pizza and your favorite beverage.
  19. Buy a planner. Even if you don’t use them, just have one because eventually you will need one and you will use it.
  20. And lastly, if you’re unsure about the future, its okay. Everybody else is too, even if they hide it. Just remember it will all work out and God will always be there for you.

Thank you for reading! See you next week!
