Hey y’all! Jumping right in by saying, day three was probably our most adventurous and eventful day! It started off rough, somebody was threatening to tow our car because apparently it was parked in somebody else’s space. But my dad talked to the manager and got everything sorted out so shortly after, we all went down to the pool to started our day.
We saw these people next to us with these huge ice cream cones and all of a sudden we were craving them. So we went into the little cafe and got ourselve some ice cream. Mine was strawberry cheesecake, yum.
Now, today was probably my favorite day of this vacation for a number of reasons. One of them being, I tried paddle boarding with my dad and loved it. We could rent the paddle, the board, and life jackets from the hotel for an hour, like we did with the kayak. But instead of just hopping up and going with no problem, like the kayak, part of the fun is getting the courage and ability to stand up and keep your balance. It took me most of the hour to stand up (and the first couple of times I fell). I had my dad holding my board too, because the waves and current kept taking me away. My dad even tried to stand on it but he fell (because he apparently got his toe stabbed by a shell).
It was seriously so much fun! My dad had fun too! We were really excited about doing it the next day again. We were really tired and my sister was getting sun burnt, so we headed back up to the room around four.
We all got ready and went out for dinner. The drive there was so pretty. I just love Florida. We found this cafe, that on the outside, you would never know it was such an amazing restaurant. It was pretty fancy and pricey but boy was it worth it. This photo does not do it justice at all. I had tuna, with green beans, carrots, and mashed potatoes. I don’t remember what the purple stuff was but it was gross. The mashed potatoes were heaven and the tuna was AMAZING. My sister (who is quite picky) even ate all of her food. She ordered Mahi Mahi.
We went home to eat some of the lovely dessert they sent us as compensation for our crazy morning. I ate the strawberries, and some of the lemon squares, which were all amaing. I was told that the chocolate cake was good too (I’m not much of a chocolate person). It was the best day EVER.
