Alas, the last day. We pushed on through most of the day, able to forget that it was the last day in paradise for awhile. We went out to the beach right when we woke up and it was absolutely beautiful. Dad and I rented a paddle board again and had so much fun. It was much easier to stand up the second day. Mom and Serena even came out into the water at the same time, it was great! We got hungry after awhile and went up to the pool and ate lunch at their delicious cafe. Its our favorite.
I ordered this chicken club wrap, with fries and a sweet tea. It also came with a pickle which was yummy. I’m getting hungry just remembering and writing about it! After lunch, my mom and sister started to play ping pong and after awhile we all were playing! It was really fun (even though my sister and I were pretty bad at it, my parents kept making fun of us).
Then we all four got in the pool and literally stayed in there for at least 3 hours. My sister and I were in there longer but it was such an amazing time because we were all relaxed and together in the pool in beautiful Florida and it was a good vibe. I loved it! When it started to get dark, we were tired of being wet and we were just plain tired, we went up to the room, showered and just chilled in the room for a bit. A couple hours after dinner, we decided to have one last walk on the beach. The only thing was, we could hear a storm rolling in. So we were trying to hurry and made it to the entrance to the beach from our hotel and the thunder got really loud. We were watching the lighting over the water (something my dad and I love to do) when lighting started striking close to our hotel (which sparked a discussion of Sweet Home Alabama between my mom and I). We squealed, my dad laughed, and we hastened all the way back to the room.
One of our favorite things to make this trip were root beer floats (with a coke float for me because I hate root beer) so we made some of those, watched tv, and got some stuff ready for in the morning. We were really sad to be leaving but had a really good day!
