My first “Favorites” post on the blog! It’s gonna be short and kind of random but I have a few things I would like to talk about that I’ve been obsessed with this month!

  1. My Planner

I have always been one of those people who can keep track of things in my head, all my assignments, outings, and whatever else I have going on. Even throughout my freshman year of college, I didn’t have much of a problem. But very quickly at the beginning of this semester, my sophomore year, I realized my plate was quite full and I began forgetting things and assignments and I just felt very lost and frazzled. Now, I had tried planners before but I never finished them or really used them because I could just simply keep track of everything myself. My mom suggested to me, about the second week of school, to get a planner because I just couldn’t remember assignments. So that’s what I did! And it never really leaves my side. I got this one at Target, it wasn’t more than $15 dollars. It’s cute, simple, and easy to work with for me. It has a calendar before every month and then the days lined out in between for me to write in things. I keep it in my purse and it is truly my saving grace this semester.

Now my other two “items” are actually television shows and first I have to tell y’all that I’m obsessed with many shows. I can make a post on all my favorite shows and what shows I keep up with but for now, I’ll just keep it to these two.

2. New Girl

I LOVE NEW GIRL. I had tried watching it when the show premiered, but I guess I just didn’t understand the humor then. One of my best friends was watching it once when I went to her house and I was immediately in love. The characters each have something relatable and I LOVE Jess! She’s a teacher (which is what I want to be), her clothes are so cute, and she says everything that I always think inside my head. I also love Zooey Deschanel (not just because we have the same birthday)  It’s such a hilarious and heartwarming little show. I need to watch season four so I can catch up for season five next year!

3. Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries

Now, this might be an acquired and personal taste of mine, but I am not joking when I say how completely obsessed I am with this show. I don’t know anyone who has actually heard of it, but my mom found it on Netflix and we watch it together. It’s and Australian show about a lady detective, Miss Fisher set in the 1920s. She solves all these murders with the help of the police and her friends and staff. She’s a total kick-butt Nancy Drew with the best squad, house, and wardrobe of all time!  I absolutely love the 1920s (and the 30s, and 40s; I like vintage, sue me) and I am a sucker for the ole murder mystery. (also, this Jack and Phryne relationship needs to happen FAST, I’ve only just started season 2 but the tension is killing me). Everyone deserves to give this show a chance, the stories are good and the relationships between the characters make it even better! Its so good y’all!

That’s all I have for this month, but I really wanted to share my two new favorite shows! I’ll be back next month with more favorites! Have a nice day!
